What class is best for me?

You can find information about each course Scrum Inc. offers on scruminc.com. Click on All Upcoming Courses to see the upcoming schedule and register for a class. To learn more about what is covered in each training and the requirements for each credential, visit the relevant course page from the “Find a Class” drop-down menu from the main navigation and select the course you’re interested in learning more about.
 
After taking a class, what can I expect from the exam?
 
Most courses’ exams consist of a random selection of 30 multiple-choice, and true/false questions pulled from a larger pool of questions. It will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. It is designed to demonstrate your understanding of the learning objectives associated with the credential course. All the topics on the exam will be covered during class. We require a 75% pass rate, with up to two attempts, to pass the exam. The exam must be taken within 30 days of attending the course. It is an open-book exam, and study materials are provided in class.
 
Where do I take the exam for my credential?
 
All training material, exams, and credentials can be found by finding your course in your Scrumlab.scruminc.com account.
 
How do I renew my credential?
 
Go to ScrumLab.scruminc.com. From the My Achievements page within your ScrumLab account menu, you can renew your existing credentials by clicking on the “renew” button associated with the credential you wish to renew. Please note that the “renew” button will be active during the renewal window of 60 days before your credential expiration date. Click the button and follow the prompts to pay the renewal/exam fee and complete the exam.
 
How much do courses cost?
 
Course costs for classes taught by Scrum Inc. vary depending on the course and are listed on our Find a course Page.
 

What is the Scrum Master by Scrum Inc. exam like?

The test consists of a combination of multiple-choice and true/false questions. It will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. You’ll be required to demonstrate your understanding of key Scrum elements, including:

  • General Scrum Knowledge
  • Scrum Roles
  • Scrum Meetings
  • Scrum Artifacts

All of the topics on the exam will be covered during class. The cost of the test is included in the cost of the course. The exam is pass/fail and there are two free attempts paid by the trainer. The third attempt costs $25. The exam must be taken within 30 days of attending the course. Candidates must complete all course sessions and miss no more than 2 hours of class to receive a credential.

Is there a cost to renew my credentials?

We offer three options for your renewal cadence:
1. Basic (1 year): $50*
2. Plus (5 years): $199*
3. Pro (lifetime): $399*
*Costs are based on GDP PPP guidelines established by the World Bank.

How do I reset my password to ScrumLab?

Your user ID is your email address when creating your ScrumLab account. You can reset your password with the user ID at this link: https://scrumlab.scruminc.com/reset. Please check your spam filters if you do not receive the reset password email.
Can I receive PMI/PDU credits for this course?

Yes, PMPs can receive 16 PDUs for our courses, and 1 PDU for every hour spent taking our online courses.

Scrum Inc. is not a pre-approved PMI education provider, but your time spent at our courses can be claimed as PDUs. To learn how to claim your PDUs, visit the How to Submit PDUs for Courses & Training page on the PMI website. The bold text under Step #3 explains how to claim credit for classes and training offered by third-party providers.

How should I dress?

Most attendees wear business casual, jeans are fine. For live-online courses, most students wear business casual as well.

Do I need a computer for class?

For our live-online training, you must have a computer, stable internet connection, access to Zoom (for audio and camera) and Mural.

What time does the course begin?

All course schedules are listed on the course registration page. Please check the specific course that you are interested in attending. For participants seeking to earn the credential, you cannot miss more than 2 hours of the course. Be sure to note the time zone and set your calendar reminders appropriately.

Oops, I registered twice by accident!

Don’t worry, as long as you didn’t pay twice, we will delete your duplicate registration. If you paid twice, please let us know and a refund will be processed in full.

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel your registration and receive a full refund if you cancel two-weeks before the start date of the class. Thereafter, we will happily transfer your registration to another date or give you credit to register for a future class.

Can I transfer my registration?

Yes, we can move you to another class. You can also transfer your registration to another person. Please contact us to transfer.
