Spotify Model

Spotify and Scrum@Scale

Spotify is well known for creating the streaming music service that disrupted the music streaming industry. But how that platform was built and continues to be enhanced is just as famous in many business circles. The "Spotify Model", with its Squads, Tribes, and Guilds became famous as a radical way to organize entire companies and coordinate a huge number of teams. The Goal: - a scaling system where constant improvement, innovation, and continuous deployment are the rule.

In this quick video, Henrik Kniberg, one of the Agile Coaches who created the “Spotify Model,” explains this renowned model and how some of the key scaling patterns implemented represent an early version of Dr. Jeff Sutherland’s Scrum@Scale framework.
