Training Operations Director

The Training Operations Director will be the primary interface between Scrum Inc. and our global trainer community and the central point of contact for trainer candidates. In this role, your day-to-day experience will include:
- Guiding qualified trainer candidates through the journey to becoming credentialed as a trainer, including coaching them through the development of their application material
- Coordinating and communicating with community members, curating communications through real-time channels, such as Slack
- Co-facilitation of Train the Trainer events
- Ensuring the newest training materials are available
- Providing feedback and guidance on training delivery techniques and content
- Gathering and implementing feedback from the community
- Removing technical and non-technical impediments of the trainers
- Assessment of trainer candidate credentials to ensure the highest standards of quality
- Developing new strategic business opportunities to inspire new customer value creation
Knowledge You Have:
- How to successfully create and grow a professional community, with digital as an essential aspect
- Demonstrable skills in strategically cultivating business relationships to drive mutually beneficial outcomes for the firm and the customer
- Understanding of the competitive landscape around Agile frameworks or a solid plan to acquire it
- Practical experience with team-level Scrum, Scrum@Scale preferred
- Customer relationship management and marketing experience preferred
Skills and Abilities You Will Need to Succeed:
- Outcomes-driven – keeping the more significant strategic outcome in mind (a prosperous trainer community) while serving the community’s immediate needs
- Ability to facilitate large global events, leveraging Zoom and online collaboration tools such as Slack and Mural
- Strong organizational, communication skills to create effective program-level messaging that communicates high standards for the community and its members
- Flexible, creative thinker with the ability to think on your feet, including a strong instinct of situational awareness, the ability to “read the room,” and adapt in the moment to solve problems in sometimes uncommon ways
- Aptitude interfacing with SaaS (Software as a Service) systems to perform basic inquiries before interacting with software engineering staff
- Continuous learner who is relentless in knowledge acquisition to help the team, company, and customers achieve more – including digging into complex problems and creating solutions
- A growth mindset, consistent with the 5 Scrum Values
- Multilingual skills beyond English would be preferred
