Scrum Courses

Certified Scrum Product Owner The basics of Scrum are easy, but implementing them is hard. We offer regularly scheduled and public courses for people at every level of Agile experience: Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, and XM + CSM. These classes are open to both individuals and corporate groups. See our courses page for more details and dates.

Our XM+CSM class goes beyond theory, giving you the chance to take what you learn and immediately put it to use. Attendees spend two days at the WIKISPEED Shop in Lynnwood, WA building a WIKISPEED car while earning their Certified Scrum Master credential. We combine basic Scrum principles with advance agile practices to create an intense hands-on experience applying the theory to physical product development. Open to both public and corporate groups, teams are encouraged to attend through our group discount program. See our courses page for more details and dates.

For content focused on your particular needs and goals our trainers can come to your location and work with your teams. Contact us and we can work with you to come up with custom tailored solution.

Scrum Inc. Future of WorkScrum can be a powerful transformational tool within your organization, but without the focused and sustained support of the executive leadership, its success can’t be fully realized. Scrum Inc. has worked with hundreds of management teams on the benefits they can expect from Scrum, and what they need to do to support it. Our half-day and day long workshops tightly concentrate on solutions that work. Contact us for more.

We are committed to offering the latest in Agile thinking. We offer a live online course every month on cutting edge topics. Upcoming and archived courses can be found here. We also have an ever growing and definitive library of Scrum concepts, ideas, applications, and successful patterns: ScrumLab.

Organizational Support

Scrum Inc.’s Scrum Capability Assessment is a rapid, tailored and minimally-disruptive process that examines your company’s Scrum practices from top to bottom and assesses the agile capabilities of the teams actually doing the work. The results reveal where your Scrum is strong, and what practices are holding you back.
From Fortune 100 companies to the newest of start-ups, Scrum Inc. has helped companies transform themselves into agile organizations. Change in the marketplace is only accelerating and Scrum can help your organization move first.
Once trained, the first tasks of a newly-launched Scrum team are to create and prioritize its product backlog, and start the regular sprint cadence. Over the years, we have found that teams supported through these initial steps develop better internal practices than unsupported teams. By the end of two facilitated days, the pilot team should have an initial backlog sufficiently defined that they can use it to guide their ongoing work. They will also have been through the key sprint planning meeting and daily standup with an experienced professional.

Publishing and Thought Leadership

Scrum Inc.’s primary mission is to improve the world through improving how people work. To this end, we regularly publish books that help clarify Scrum and Agile best practices.

Scrum Inc.’s latest book is Scrum: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time. For those who believe that there must be a more efficient way for people to get things done, here from Scrum pioneer Jeff Sutherland is a brilliantly discursive, thought-provoking book about the management process that is changing the way we live. For all our books, see our publication’s page.

ScrumLab is the definitive archive of Scrum knowledge as established by the co-creator of Scrum, Jeff Sutherland. Since Sutherland formed the first Scrum Team in 1993 he has been continuously improving the Scrum development process. ScrumLab is the embodiment of 20 years of practicing, consulting and teaching Scrum.

Here you’ll find clear definitions of Scrum terms, insightful videos, cutting edge research papers, online courses and other material that give Scrum users the tools to implement, grasp and improve their Scrum.

Jeff Sutherland and Scrum Inc. have published scores of papers that carefully outline both theory and practice.

See our index here.

As part of our mission to improve the world through work, we choose particular stories that outline how our ideas have been successfully implemented. All case studies will soon be available.
